+powerful thick frame
+rarely stopped for negative yardage
+pretty good vision to find the hole and get through it
+consistently picks up chunks of yardage and moves the chains
+rarely goes down after first contact as he bounces off tackles and slips arm tackles
+legs keep churning and very good overall effort
+accelerates pretty quickly
+ can pick up tough yardage inside the tackles
+shows the ability to make a defender miss
+can make an impact as a receiver out of the backfield, does need to be more consistent and not let ball into body at times
+turns upfield in stride immediately after catch
+has solid feet and can make subtle moves in space
Overall average speed
At times tries to dance to the edge and is unable to turn the corner or beat a defender in space
Needs some refinement in pass protection, but could develop these skills at the next level given his frame an d strength

David Cobb is a workhorse type back. What he lacks in a home run gear and overall speed he makes up for with his powerful running style and overall skill set. He is going to gain yards after first contact and consistently pick up solid chunks of yardage. He works north south and has pretty good acceleration. He also has potential with catching the ball. Not the flashiest rb in the draft, but in the right system a very good one. He projects to be an early day 3 type pick somewhere in the 4th round.
